Admitting your mistakes

One of life's lessons that is not easy to do is to confess when you are wrong to yourself, to your God, and to the person (or persons) you have offended in the act. Although the easy part may be to admitt an error to yourself, it is not that easy to ask forgiveness from another person about what you have done that you feel may have offended or hurt them.

I had a situation where I felt that I had been wronged, and then realized that my reaction to the perceived offense was just as bad, if not worse. This situation put alot of anger and bitterness between myself and a person I consider my friend. He has helped me thru some difficult stages and encouraged me along the way. We didn't talk for over a month, and I ended up talking about the situation with others...which was my error, because at first it was for advice, and then it became for gossip....I hate to admit that, but I am human, and will admit that I make mistakes...
I ended up writing and apologizing to him because of my anger that had been brewing in my heart over the situation, and I am happy to say, that he has been gracious enough to forgive me.
The reason I am posting this is to let others know that if you truly humble yourself, and admit your errors to yourself and to your God, that HE will guide you in what to do or say. And this forgiveness process truly does bring a sense of peace to your soul. Even if the other person responds in anger, if you have done all that you can to reconcile the situation, then you can let it all go and let the LORD take it from there! May the LORD Bless you as you continually seek HIM!! Angela

My Apologies

I apologize to all of you who have been hurt or attacked in some way by those who call themselves to be christians who truly do not follow the teachings of Christ. Even though I wasn't the one who attacked, hurt, or in some other way irritated you. I apologize because something they did got your eyes off of the teachings of my LORD, and onto error of ways of some of our well-meaning, yet misguided people.

Someone asked on another website I was on if believing in Jesus Christ was the only way to heaven. Belief in Jesus does not guarantee that you will enter heaven, for even the demons believe in Him, and shuddder! Not only do you need to believe, but you need to follow His example. His example was to show mercy, compassion, and understanding to the people, all people, no matter what their faith, even including those who do not ascribe to one.
The teachings of my faith explain that Jesus, when He died upon the Cross Atoned for the sin of every human being from the beginning of creation on down thru the eternities allowing them the ability to return to the Presence of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ if they live the teachings of the Gospel, if they do not, but are good moral people, or if they have never heard the gospel, then they will be judged for what they knew and what they did with what they knew and how they treated their fellow man. This is how Grace and Justice are both met in the one act. Heavenly Father had all of our sins atoned for by Christ on the Cross, and He is the ultimate judge....not any human; therefore, no human has the right to say that definitely you cannot get to heaven unless you believe in this specific way of thinking.
We have the scriptures and the ability to pray for ourselves to receive revelation for our own lives, we have a mind so that we can reason for ourselves, and we are a social people, therefore we gather into communites of faith in order to help encourage and strengthen one another.
A statement I made another time was that in the OLD TESTAMENT it states that the LORD confused the languages of the peoples at the Tower of Babel. With this understanding, one person may call their God, Allah, while another calls him Yahweh, and still another mi DIOS!!! It matters not what language you use, they all mean GOD (In reference to Heavenly Father)
What this nation was founded on was not freedom FROM religion, but freedom OF religion, so I cannot tell the Muslim that he cannot face the east as he prays to His God in his ascribed form a worship, and they cannot tell me that I cannot call on the name of Jesus Christ in my prayers! That the Jews have every right to worship in synagouge on the Sabbath, which is Fri night to Sat Sundown instead of making them worship on a Sunday which is the day of celebration for most christian denominations.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask, it does not matter to me if I know you or not, and I will be as honest and truthful as I can, and will back everything I say to you up with scriptures from the Bible. One of the great things about the LDS church is that all the members are encouraged to search the scriptures for themselves, so if I do not know the answer, I will research it until I do, and then get back to you!
God Bless!

Maw Maw

My grandmother (affectionately known as Maw Maw by the family) is 92 yrs young this Oct, and has decided to move to Evansville, IN to be closer to the family for the rest of her days. I am so happy and glad that she is here. Although I haven't seen her yet, because she arrived late this afternoon and I had work and class until late this evening, I love her very much and look forward to spending as much time with her as possible.

My dad's mother, Mur, died while I was a babe, and although I honor her in my heart, I never really knew her. I thought it was strange and was confused when I was younger about why did some people have two sets of grandparents when I only had one? My grandfather on my dad's side died when my dad was a young boy. I see the loss on my dad's side and how it has affected my uncles and my cousins who still reside in the south.

I see Maw Maw's coming here as a real blessing for me, she could have chosen to go to Indianapolis where my other aunt lives, but she chose to come here, and I intend to take full advantage of whatever time I have left with her. She is strong and healthy for a 92 yr old, and is living in the retirement section of the residence home! I tell people at my church that she is a healthy as the Prophet! (Pres Gordon B Hinckley of the LDS Church is 97 yrs old and still running the church)

Have a great week! ~Angela

Tax Info I didn't know

Hello One and All!

I am currently taking a class with H&R Block in order to be a tax preparer this season, there are a few tidbits of information that I would like to share.

1) All teachers for K-12 Grade, their counselors and administrators, if they purchase supplies for their classroom that is not reimbursed by the school, is deductible on your taxes up to $250.00 per teacher. If the supplies are reimbursed or if a grant is used then you can not claim it. If you are married to a person who is also a teacher and you are Married Filing Jointly, then you can take up to $250.00 per person.

2) If you are trying to file Married Filing Separately, then you will lose out on several deductions that you would be eligible to take by filing Jointly. This is a federal law and ruling.
And it includes the Earned Income Credit for individuals and their children. I think they are trying to phase out this filing status, but I am not certain, but I do know there are several deductions that you are uneligible for id you use this status.
3) Interest you pay for your college loans may be deductible, as well as interest paid for your mortgage on your home.
I know that many of you are still in college, and that some of this does not apply to you yet,, but it is good for you to be aware that some tax relief is out there.
If you have a question, please put it in the comment section, and I will look into it for you. If I do not know, I will ask because now, "I've Got People!"
Have a great week!
Angela
